Sassy Studio Designs
I was doing this card for the challenge to use two ribbons and before I got it done I received another email telling of a challenge to use a frame so I guess this card will take care of both of them. I was thinking that this card would be good as a thank you for a brides maid. I love this soft blue and all those lacy die cuts. This image is called Elizabeth Bennet. She is so pretty. You can find the image at http://sassystudiodesigns.blogspot.com. The first challenge is DTBST#123 at the Dare to be Sassy site and the second is at Party Time Tuesday at http://partytimetuesdays.blogspot.com. The frame is a die I got from Cheery Lynn Designs http://www.cheerylynndesigns.com. The paper just falls right out of these dies. I cut an oval with my spellbinders and ran it threw the cuttle bug with an embossing folder. The blue sentiment backing is a die from Verve. I added a couple ribbon flowers and a couple of ribbons just tied once. The cornor pieces are also from Cheery Lynn

Just Be You
As with all cards this one looks better in person. I had the worst time getting a decent picture of it. Not sure if it was the pink or what but it just didn't want to photograph well. For the life of me I couldn't get it lighter. So I just gave up. This card is for the Fabulous Freebie Friday on Paper Craft Planet. The image is one from Sassy Studio Designs. It seems like they are the only ones I am coloring these days. If you would like to participate or to see what it is all about, here is a link to the challenge. http://www.papercraftplanet.com/group/sassystudiodesigns/forum/topics/fabulous-freebie-friday-4-27-12-and-challenge

Peace on Earth
This is a card for Sassy Studio Designs Dare to be Sassy Thursday challenge http://sassystudiodesigns.blogspot.com. This week we were to do a Christmas or winter card with a sentiment. Its not that hard once you see their wonderful images for the holidays. What is it about white on white lately. I just love it. The background is an embossing folder from Stampin Up and the sentiment from Technique Tuesday is stamped on a Spellbinders tag. I enhanced the tag with stickles all around the edge. I added a couple snowflakes (where they came from I still don't know. They were in my stash) I colored the image on Mohawk bright white paper and mounted her using dimensional tape. I lined her ruffles, the bottom of the cape, and bottom of her dress with Spica pen for a little glitter but you can't see it in the picture.

Tuesday Morning Sketches
Today I did a card for Sassy Studio Designs and their sponsor this week is Tuesday Morning Sketches http://tuesdaymorningsketches.blogspot.com. I love this mermaid by Sassy Studio Designs and thought I would try to do a card with her using some shells that I cut using old Sizzex dies. Well they didn't come out so well but I love how the coloring came out on the mermaid. I think what I love most about these images is the detail they have in their hair. It is so fun to try to get the waves and dimension of it. The second thing I have discovered is I like to color different types of skin colors and how to shade them. It presents a real challenge to me. While I was at the Copic Certification class Marianne Walker showed us how to blend colors so I did this on her tail and fin, going from green to a blue. I did it at her waist too.
